On January 28th, the XVIII Meeting of the Integration, State and Governance Research Network and the Jean Monnet Chairs of the University of Lisbon and of the Federal University of Minas Gerais took place. Among those present were Dr. Nuno Cunha Rodrigues, Dr. Maria João Palma, PhD student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Professor Dr. Roberto Correia da Silva Gomes Caldas from UNINOVE, Professor Dr. Jamile Bergamaschine Mata Diz from UFMG, Professor Paulo Viegas of CEUB and Professor Elizabeth Accioly of the European University of Lisbon and UNICURITIBA. Among other projects, they talked about the publication of the book "Luso-Brazilian Perspectives on Sustainable Public Procurement" that will soon be available.
The International Seminar on Foreign Policy, Security and Strategy: Relations between South America and Europe, an event organized under the Jean Monnet Chair, was held on October 18 and 19, 2018, at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais . The Jean Monnet Chair of UFMG - Federal University of Minas Gerais, invites everyone to the International Seminar Foreign Policy, Security and Strategy: the relations between South America and Europe, held on October 18 and 19 at the Faculty of Law of UFMG. The event consists of an interdisciplinary meeting that deals with the legal, economic and social foundations of international relations between Europe and South America, with the participation of reference names in Law, in 4 panels and working groups. Among the themes of the panels are international judicial cooperation and new forms of interstate action in the regional and global context and the European Foreign and Security Policy and Global Geopolitics.

On October 2, 2018, at 2:30 p.m., it will take place at UFMG Law School, an event that takes part on the "Alue - EU Public Diplomacy in Latin America" Project. The present event consists in a lecture about the past, the present and future of the European Union, and will occur at the Francisco Luiz Auditorium.
On September 20, 2018, at the Red Hall of the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires, the Argentina-Brazil international seminar "Integration and Governance: the role of the State and the company" took place. The event was the result of a joint effort of several universities, such as the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Industrial and Economic Law (CEIDIE), the University Nine of July (UNINOVE) and the research network Integration, State and Governance.
The Jean Monnet Chair of UFMG was represented in the figure of Professor Jamile Bergamaschine Mata Diz. The professor was a moderator the Panel entitled "The legal dimension of regional integration".
