The Jean Monnet Chair Programme from the Federal University of Minas Gerais has received the conformity letter from the European Commission in relation to the projects's first year.
On January 29, 2018, the "Luso-Brazilian Conference on Public Procurement and Sustainable Development" and the XIII meeting of the "Integration, State and Governance" research network will take place. The event will be held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and will address issues such as public procurement and environmental protection, administrative morality, private enforcement, European Union and Mercosur. Some of the guests are: Jamile Bergamaschine Mata Diz, Nuno Cunha Rodrigues, Eduardo Paz Ferreira, Roberto Correia da Silva Gomes Caldas, Daniel Amin Ferraz and Elizabeth Accioly. The event has the support of the Jean Monnet UFMG Chair.
The UFMG Jean Monnet Chair will hold, in partnership with UNISINOS, from 20 to 21 November, a seminar in Porto Alegre. The themes are "Law and Culture" and "European Private International Law: Harmonization, Policies and Conflicts". The event will be attended by several national and international speakers, from places like Portugal, Paraguay, Mexico, Argentina and Spain. The Chair will be represented by Professor Jamile Bergamaschine Mata Diz.
